Tawnee is a certified Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Master and practicing Karuna Reiki practitioner through the International Center for Reiki Training, in Sedona, Arizona. Tawnee is certified Level I in Healing Touch Therapy, certified in Crystal Healing and is registered with the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP).

 

Tawnee has also trained directly with John Barnes in his unique and gentle approach to Myofacial Release completing Myofacial I,  Myofacial Unwinding and Myofacial Il in Sedona, AZ

Her massages can best be described as a soothing and relaxing blend (Therapeutic) of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy & Myofacial Release. This leaves the client not only feeling very relaxed, but also feeling like the trouble area's and knots in the soft tissue are softened. Tawnee's business motto and secret to success is "A massage does not need to hurt to be effective!" So, if you are someone who does not particularly enjoy a full session of constant deep pressure, but does enjoy the benefits of a massage, Tawnee is your therapist!

Tawnee began her journey with the healing arts over 25 years ago. After high school, Tawnee moved out west to Colorado and Arizona and fell in love with the land and it's healing surroundings and people. She was introduced to the many massage and bodywork resources offered out there. She returned home to St. Louis in her mid-twenties to be closer to family and decided to stay for a short time. A "short time" turned into staying for the past 25 years.

She enrolled briefly with the Massage Therapy Institute of Missouri (MTIM) in Columbia, but then changed her path and to completed her degree in Natural Resources Management with the University of Missouri. Over the past 16 years, Tawnee owned and operated a bed & breakfast in Rocheport, and has been raising two incredible humans.

In 2013, still realizing that massage and bodywork were still her number one calling and her absolute joy, she enrolled in the Columbia Area Career Center's very first Massage Therapy Program as one of their first students, and graduated with a nationally certified degree in Massage Therapy. She has even had opportunities to teach Reiki and Reflexology at the massage therapy school.

Tawnee's thriving business, Mesa Body Therapy in Columbia, Missouri, offers several services including Therapeutic Massage, Reiki Healing, Oracle Card & Intuitive Readings.
